Check that your download is genuine: its SHA-256 fingerprint should match the one shown on its card. Download PressLish only from this page.

Windows will warn you about PressLish. Here is why, and what to do.

PressLish is not “signed” yet. Established software companies buy a digital ID card for their programs (a code-signing certificate) that tells Windows who made them. Enricx is a new company and we are getting ours now. Until it arrives, Windows does not recognise our name, so it shows a warning before PressLish installs. This is normal for new software and does not mean anything is wrong with PressLish.

To install PressLish now:

  1. Open the file you downloaded.
  2. A blue window says “Windows protected your PC”. Click the small More info link.
  3. Click the Run anyway button that appears.
  4. The PressLish installer opens. Follow its steps.

You do this only once. Updates you install from inside PressLish do not show the warning.

No “Run anyway” button? If Windows says Smart App Control blocked PressLish, your PC is set to run only signed programs and offers no way past the warning. Please don't switch Smart App Control off for us: Windows can't switch it back on without resetting the PC. Instead, wait for the signed version of PressLish, which should be ready in a couple of weeks. Email us and we will tell you as soon as it is.

After you install

  1. Start PressLish. Read the licence agreement and terms, tick I agree and press Accept.
  2. PressLish needs the internet once, to start your 9-day trial.
  3. Open a .pub file with File → Open.
  4. To buy: File → About → Licence → Buy a licence. Your licence code (starting PL-) arrives by email; paste it into Enter a licence key.

Updates arrive inside PressLish: it tells you when a newer version exists, and one click installs it.
