PressLishPressLish End-User Licence Agreement
Please read this agreement before you install or use PressLish. By installing or using PressLish you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install or use PressLish.
1. Who we are
PressLish is made by Enricx Private Limited, Bengaluru, India, called "Enricx", "we" or "us" in this agreement. "You" means the person or organisation that installs or uses PressLish.
2. Your licence
2.1 Enricx grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use PressLish on computers you own or control, for your own personal, business or organisational work.
2.2 Without a licence key, PressLish runs as a free trial: it works for 9 days from the first start, and you can change up to 10 different files in all (a file counts the first time you change or save it; opening, reading, printing or exporting a file does not count). A file keeps its place for the whole trial, even if you delete it; the same file can be edited as often as you like. After the 9 days, PressLish opens only to take a licence key. Versions marked "preview" are early releases; Enricx may limit, change or end them at any time.
2.3 A paid licence (currently US$60) is for life: you may use PressLish for as long as you like, on one computer at a time. Support and updates that fix problems are included until 31 December 2029, whenever you bought the licence, as set out in the Terms of Service; after that date Enricx no longer fixes bugs or adds features, and your licence keeps working. The price may change for new purchases. The details in your order form part of this agreement.
2.4 A paid licence is activated with a licence code on one computer. Do not share a code or use it on other computers at the same time. To move your licence to another computer, deactivate it on the first computer in PressLish (File → About → Licence), then activate it on the second; this is allowed up to 5 times in any 365 days, and if the first computer is lost or broken you can move the licence from PressLish itself by confirming a code that Enricx emails to the address you bought with. Refunds are covered in section 3.3 of the Terms of Service.
2.5 PressLish is licensed, not sold. Enricx and its licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you.
3. What you may not do
Unless the law allows it despite this restriction, you may not:
- copy PressLish except to install it as allowed above and to make a backup;
- sell, rent, lend, sublicense or distribute PressLish;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble PressLish;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or licence notices;
- use PressLish to break any law or to infringe anyone else's rights.
4. Your documents
4.1 Your publications, pictures, mailing lists and other content belong to you. Enricx claims no rights in them.
4.2 PressLish works on your computer. It does not upload your documents or send usage data to Enricx. It contacts the PressLish licence server (api.presslish.enricx.com) to start the free trial and to activate and renew a licence, and then sends just your computer's machine code (a code derived from the computer's hardware id), the app version and, when activating, your licence code. Unless you switch it off in File → About → Updates, once a day at start it also asks the server which PressLish version is the newest, sending nothing but the request itself (the server sees the address the request comes from, as any website does). If you uninstall PressLish, it keeps the small record of when your free trial started (a code, not your documents), so that reinstalling does not restart the trial. PressLish never installs an update by itself: only when you press Update now does it ask the server for a short-lived download link, download the new version from Enricx (downloads.presslish.enricx.com), check it against a fingerprint in the signed notice, and replace the installed version; that request carries your licence code or trial record and machine code so the server can see it comes from PressLish. Without a connection to the licence server a new trial cannot start, and a licence stops working on a computer that has not been able to reach the licence server for 9 days.
4.3 PressLish never changes your original Publisher (.pub) files. Your work is saved as PressLish documents (.lish).
4.4 If you send a problem report, it contains only what you choose to include: your description, a screenshot, the app's log and, only if you tick the option, a copy of your publication. Enricx uses reports only to support you and improve PressLish, and deletes them when they are no longer needed for that purpose.
4.5 You are responsible for keeping backups of your documents and for having the right to use the content you open, edit, print or mail-merge with PressLish, including personal data in mailing lists.
5. Accuracy of opened files
Publisher files can contain features that PressLish does not yet reproduce exactly. PressLish is complex software and may contain bugs: a feature may not work as you expect, may give a different result from Publisher, or may stop working in some cases. Before you print, publish or send important work, check it carefully, and keep your original files.
6. Updates and new versions
6.1 Enricx may release updates that fix problems; they are free until support ends on 31 December 2029. Bugs you report as a licence holder before that date are handled as set out in section 4 of the Terms of Service.
6.2 Enricx may also release future versions that add or change features (enhancements). Such versions may require an additional payment. You can choose to buy the new version or to keep using the version you already have; nothing obliges you to buy it.
6.3 This agreement applies to each update and new version unless it comes with a different agreement.
7. Third-party components
PressLish includes open-source components. Each one is used under its own licence, listed under "Third-party notices" on the About page. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licences.
8. Trademarks
PressLish and Enricx are trademarks of Enricx. Microsoft, Publisher, Word, PowerPoint and Excel are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. PressLish is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft.
9. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, PressLish is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Enricx does not promise that PressLish will be free of bugs or errors, that every feature will work in every situation, or that it will run without interruption. Where a bug is found, Enricx will deal with it as set out in the Terms of Service (Support).
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 To the extent the law allows, Enricx is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising from your use of PressLish.
10.2 To the extent the law allows, Enricx's total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for your PressLish licence in the twelve months before the claim. For a free or preview version, that amount is zero.
10.3 Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
11. Ending this agreement
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling PressLish. Enricx may end it if you materially break it. When it ends, you must stop using and uninstall PressLish. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10 and 12 continue to apply after it ends.
12. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, India, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
13. General
This agreement, together with any order you place, is the entire agreement between you and Enricx about PressLish. If any part of it cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Enricx may update this agreement for future versions; the version shown in the app applies to that version.
