PressLish privacy policy
Enricx Private Limited, Bengaluru, India (“Enricx”, “we”) makes PressLish. This page explains what personal data PressLish, its licence server and this website use, and why. It sits alongside section 6 of the terms of service. Last updated: 21 October 2026.
Your documents stay on your computer
PressLish works on your computer. It never sends your publications, files or what you do in the app to Enricx or anyone else.
What the licence server receives
- Starting the trial: your computer's machine code (a random-looking code PressLish works out from the computer, not your name) and the app version. We keep a record that a trial started on that machine code, so the trial cannot be restarted.
- Activating or renewing a licence: the machine code, the app version and your licence code. We store the licence with the name and email address you bought it with, and which computer holds it.
- Checking for updates (once a day, unless you switch it off): the version you have, and nothing that identifies you.
- Moving a licence or asking for a refund in the app: we email a one-time code to the address you bought with, to confirm it is you.
When you buy
Polar (polar.sh) sells PressLish for us as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles tax and issues your receipt, under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country, what you bought and the amount. We never see your card details. We use your email address to send your licence code and to help you with your licence.
When you write to us
If you email presslish-help@enricx.com, we use what you send (for example your email address, a problem report or log file) only to answer you.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics service and no advertising trackers. Like most websites, its server keeps access logs: for each page or download, the time, your internet (IP) address, the page that linked to us, the browser and the approximate region of the server that answered. We use them only to count visits and downloads, to see which of our posts bring people here, and to see roughly where visitors are (country) and whether they come from a home, an office or a hosting network: we work that out on our own side from the internet address, using free offline lists, and we do not send the address to anyone or keep it beyond the log's 30 days. We cannot tell who you are from it. They are deleted automatically after 30 days and never shared or sold.
Internet addresses
To stop abuse, the licence server counts requests per internet (IP) address for a few minutes and then deletes the count. Its access logs, which include IP addresses, are deleted after 30 days.
Where the data is kept and who handles it
The licence server and its data run on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India. Licence emails are sent through Amazon's email service. Payments go through Polar and its payment partners. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Licence records (name, email and the computer that holds the licence) are kept while the licence exists and as long as tax and accounting law requires. Trial records hold only a machine code and dates.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other laws that apply to you, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Write to presslish-help@enricx.com from the email address you bought with. Some records may have to be kept for tax law, and deleting a licence record means the licence can no longer be restored or moved.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date.
